Power - The Utility Cabinet
[Previous Page] [Next Page] [Up] [Home Page] [Contents]

The Utilities Installation was done by bolting a Rubbermaid storage shed to the wall, and installing a 4" dryer vent through the wall and shed. This serves as the conduit for the power cables, coolant hoses, and the fan control wires.

The unit has the Radiator, Reservoir, and water pumps for the cooling, as well as the battery charger and battery.

We plan on adding a second battery, and uprgrading the charger to a 30-amp unit sometime soon.

The Utilities Installation

The Passthrough - a 4" dryer vent into the computer room from the shed

The primary hole for the Radiator

The Samlex Charger - 15 AMPs of intelligent charging

A spare RV battery .. I just changed out my primary coach battery.. so this is a good test!

The Mandatory disconnect switch... we needed it a few times already... a 1300AH battery can throw some sparks!
